The evening begins with vibrant performances of traditional Scottish and Bulgarian music and dance, featuring Highland and Bulgarian instruments, singers, and dancers. The performance then evolves into an original fusion work by bagpiper and composer James Johnson, weaving together Celtic melodies with the energetic rhythms and unique time signatures of Balkan folk music.
Featuring more than 35 musicians, singers, and dancers from some of the Twin Cities' premier folk ensembles, this production is a celebration of culture, creativity, and the connections that unite communities through music and dance.
