Immerse yourself in a diverse and inspiring collection of films created by emerging filmmakers from South Florida at the Subtropic Film Festival. This unique event showcases fresh perspectives, innovative storytelling, and creative talent from across the region, giving audiences the opportunity to experience compelling independent cinema before it reaches a wider audience. The festival celebrates the voices of up-and-coming artists while fostering a vibrant community of filmmakers and film enthusiasts.
This year’s theme, Between Two Waters, reflects the unique duality of South Florida—where ocean meets Everglades, paradise meets ecological change, and diverse cultures intersect to create one of America’s most distinctive creative communities.
