About this Event
In a world abounding with chaos and uncertainty, it can be difficult to find a source of meaning and momentum.
What if that source were reaching out to us in detailed form at night through the medium of our dreams?
Dreams are one of the ways in which we can start to examine and explore this internal world. If we treat dreams as fanciful or meaningless, we miss out on a profound source of self-reflection, healing, and direction. Engaging with our dreams deepens our faith in the unknown and our ability to navigate it.
Imagine you could look at a dream of being trapped or running away from a pursuer in such a way that it actually frees you.
Forming a different relationship to our dreams helps us to recognize and pursue our life’s calling. This workshop is intended to teach you how to nurture that relationship through dreams.
We will briefly discuss the science and philosophy of dreams through the lens of modern science, Jungian psychology, and ecopsychology. We will then work directly with our own dreams through two methods:
First, traditional Jungian dream analysis, where we examine associations and dream symbols for self-reflection and self-knowledge.
Second, soul-centric dreamwork, where dream images and figures are worked with directly and dramatically, acting out our dreams on a proverbial stage to expand our sense of Self.
This work can open a doorway into our inner world and turn the confusing world of dreams into a source of energy and meaningful direction. By turning towards this source in us, we can make peace with our inner conflicts and participate in the world in new ways, both subtle and grand.
You are invited to bring a dream to this workshop so that you might dream up new possibilities for yourself and the future we are building together.
