About this Event
The Next Gen Texas Health Policy Summit is a one-day conference hosted at the University of Texas at Austin bringing together promising students from across the state to develop as leaders and advocates in Texas healthcare reform. Through prominent keynote speakers, dynamic panel discussions, student poster-presentation gallery walks, professional networking opportunities, and cross-partisan peer-to-peer dialogue, attendees will gain a strong foundational understanding in the current state of healthcare policy while equipping themselves with the tools to turn passion into action, making a difference in their communities.
All post-secondary students are invited to attend and participate in the summit’s programming, and interested students are encouraged to apply to create a poster on a Texas healthcare policy topic under mentored guidance for presentation at the gallery walk. Applicants and attendees do not need prior experience in healthcare policy. Students who participate will create and join a state-wide network of young talented individuals, ready to make an impact in the Texas legislature through advocacy, research, and outreach.
The summit will be hosted on January 23rd at the University of Texas at Austin. Travel scholarships are available for poster presenters. Attendees must pay a $10 registration fee.
