Jaime Ospina, Colombian-born and Austin-based, celebrates the vinyl release of his debut solo album The Vessel with a live show at Waterloo Records — the full band, in the room, no stage barrier between the music and the people who came for it.
The Vessel was recorded live over five days with an eighteen-person ensemble under Grammy-winning producer Beto Martínez, tracing Afro-diasporic threads through cumbia, gaita, and the rhythms of Colombia's Caribbean coast. This show brings that same live-band energy back to where the record belongs — played in front of the people, not just for them.
