The Very Young Friends of Rowntree ParkCome and join our friendly monthly meet-up for little ones (around 1–5 years) and their parents and carers. It’s a relaxed, welcoming group where we explore nature, share stories, and enjoy simple seasonal crafts together.
The sessions are usually the 1st Tuesday of each month - but with schools not being back at the start of September, the September session will be Tuesday 15th September (next is Oct 3rd and back to the pattern of the first Tuesday of each month).
We meet at the The Woodland Story Circle in Rowntree Park - tickets to be booked in advance.
Whether you’re a regular or brand new, you’ll find a warm welcome and a lovely community to be part of. We’d love to see you there!

Do not worry if child doesn't fancy sticking about and prefers to wander - it's all part of the fun and we know small ones have their own plans! Often being around others and activities is as fun as the event itself.
We meet whatever the weather – come ready for sunshine, showers or snow! Sometimes we build cosy shelters if it rains (which the children love!) and if it’s very chilly, we occasionally head to the York Explore Café in the park to warm up.
