⭐ The Venue Presents The Horror Classic "Carrie" ⭐
Aurora, Ill. - The Venue in Aurora will present a free movie screening of “Carrie” in time for Halloween on Sunday, October 25.
Stephen King’s "Carrie" is well-known as a supernatural horror film. Directed by Brian De Palma and starring Sissy Spacek, the film was based on King’s first published novel. The rated R movie was released in fall 1976, becoming a bicentennial box office success. Doors open at 6 p.m. The movie starts at 7 p.m.
The free movie night is hosted by Alley Art Festival, a collective that supports the arts from Aurora to Elgin. Attendees are invited to come in costume, and there will be Halloween candy for attendees.
“With our country’s 250th anniversary, it is suitable that we honor a pivotal horror film that came out during the bicentennial celebrations,” said Marissa Amoni, who runs the Alley Art Festival collective.
