About this Event
Some people seek out religion for community. Some for a higher calling or a moral code. Some just want existence itself to form a shape they can understand. But at one point in history, one religious person saw what another religious person was doing and disagreed. Everything’s been hunky-dory ever since. (Hey, a reading from the Book of Sarcasm!)
So Say We All is seeking stories from quite literally any religious perspective. So let’s get spiritual, baby. Send us your true stories on what faith means to you, how religion orders—or distorts—your world, or who you think would win in a fight; the Flying Spaghetti Monster or Jesus. Tell us of your awakenings and rebirths and communions and visions. Go to the dark places or bask in the light. Whether you’re a God-fearing classicist, a subversive Satanist, a mind-bending transhumanist, or an all-inclusive neo-paganist, the VAMP: COEXIST Bumper Sticker Show is your opportunity to stretch out your sacred storytelling strings and contribute to your community’s understanding of what really makes you tick.
Share tales of your encounters with the extraordinary, your dalliances with the divine, and your moments of momentousness. In the crocodilian God of the Nile’s holy reptilian name we pray … forever and ever, Amen … So Say We All.

In another VAMP first, we are excited to announce that this show will be taking place at Temple Beth Israel at Heritage Park in Old Town, a place of extreme cultural significance. Temple Beth Israel is not only the oldest Jewish congregation in San Diego, but has a long and storied history of welcoming other faiths to practice in its walls when worshipers of all faiths had no place of their own. It’s this spirit of inclusivity that So Say We All seeks to celebrate this fine season as a love letter to human compassion, the power of community, and the freedom to practice any religion we choose.
