About this Event
Join Food Well Alliance for a workshop with Farmer Jeff at the Souper Jenny Farm! Farmer Jeff practices regenerative farming techniques and uses cover crops as a way to build and protect soil health on the farm. He believes that cover crops can be both beneficial to soil health and an important part of the farm business model.
In this workshop, we’ll cover:
- Basics of soil gardening
- Benefits of cover crops
- Growing techniques of different covers
- Unusual covers that work in Georgia
- Cover Crops as an economic crop
The workshop will start at 8:30am with light refreshments and time to explore and learn more about the farm, and the workshop will officially begin at 9am.
After the workshop, Jenny has offered a $5.00 discount on a combo meal from Souper Jenny's for any one that’s attending for that day only. Everyone is welcome to stay for lunch and eat on the farm for networking and discussions.
