About this Event
You have been so good for so long.
And somewhere underneath all of that goodness, there is something that wants to roar.
This is your invitation to let it.
Come on this journey with me…
Picture this
You wake up in the morning and go about your day.
You answer the texts. Get the kids where they need to go. Make the coffee. Do the work. Hold the things that need holding.
Maybe somewhere in the middle of it all, you open Instagram.
And there it is again.
Another story about a woman being dismissed. Another injustice. Another reminder of just how much women are expected to swallow, tolerate, carry, forgive, and keep moving through.
Come on this journey with me…
And something in you tightens.
It's not new.
That quiet rage has been sitting underneath the surface for a long time.
Maybe your kid pulls your attention or your phone rings. Someone needs something from you.
So you do what you always do.
You put it back down.
You keep going.
Until suddenly it's noon.
You grab a coffee, get in the car, and start driving.
At first, you're surrounded by the familiar.
The city, the traffic and the noise.
And then, slowly, it disappears.
The roads get quieter.
The buildings become fewer.
The trees get taller.
You find yourself on a long country road, wondering for a moment if you've somehow gotten lost.
And then you see it.
Luna Adventures
And then you arrive
You turn down the driveway.
You park your car.
You gather your things.
And together, with the other women who have arrived, you walk through the woods in silence.
Leaving something behind with every step.
The baggage of the day.
The week.
The month.
Maybe even the year.
And then you see it.
The Yurt Settled into the Heart of the Woods
Sitting quietly in the middle of it all.
You take off your shoes.
You open the door.
And instead of being met with another thing you need to do, Becky and Karena throw their arms open.
Welcome, welcome, sister.
Come in.
Find your seat.
There are fifteen women sitting in a circle.
The wood stove is going.
The world outside has gone quiet.
Karena takes her place.
Becky sits beside her.
And we begin.
The Untamed Woman is a somatic mini-retreat held in a yurt nestled in the woods of Troy, Ontario. A sacred, intimate container for 15 women to explore where rage and joy live in the body and what it feels like to finally let them move. Exact location given before event.
This is not therapy. This is not performance. This is permission.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
There will be conversation, stillness, somatic movement, and YES, we will be screaming, as well as connecting.
The Afternoon runs like so…
1 PM Arrival & Permission
We begin by offering ourselves something most of us rarely receive: full permission to be exactly where we are.
The Talk: Rage, Joy & Your Body
A grounded, embodied conversation about why these two emotions get trapped, what that costs us, and what becomes possible when we let them move.
Movement with Becky
Becky Steingart :PT, Nutrition Specialist & Female Health Coach: leads you through 45 minutes of intentional movement. Becky will lead us through physical movement designed to get you out of your head and into your body. This isn't a yoga class; we're not trying to become calm. We're interested in what happens when your body gets activated. When your heart starts beating faster, and you feel your strength.
What happens when something gets uncomfortable? When your instinct is to stop, freeze, push through, or pull away. Being in activation doesn't have to mean you're unsafe. Sometimes it can be an opportunity to notice yourself. To feel your strength, find your voice and discover that you can stay present with yourself when things get intense.
That you aren’t frozen; it's experiencing that you can move and speak. That you can take up space. And perhaps that you can feel joy without immediately needing to contain it.
And that you don't have to abandon yourself when your body gets loud.
And then we will scream. To feel. Where does the discomfort live? Where does the strength surge? Where does rage show up when your body is pushed?
Yes, we’re screaming. We're doing it. Together, in the woods, into the void. And then, if you choose, you'll be witnessed in your own.
Integration & Snacks because nourishment is key
We close in circle, together in community.
Meet Karena Your Host
Karena is an intuitive female embodiment coach who helps high-functioning women step out of burnout and boredom and back into magic. Through somatic practice, ritual, and deep intuitive work, she guides women home to themselves.
Testimonial
Karena has gently but profoundly held the most incredible space for me through my spiritual journey. She has made me feel seen and heard beyond what I could even articulate myself. I have experienced so much relief and peace through our reiki sessions. She has guided me to trust and use my intuition again. Karena has many gifts you get to experience when working with her. It is clear she is born to do this work and I’m so grateful I took a leap and invested in myself because in many ways I feel like she saved me.
