About Treasure Chest Theatre
Founded by Davina Carette, Treasure Chest Theatre aims to bridge gaps in English-speaking theatre in Hong Kong. Their devised works explore themes from grief and addiction to refugees and mental health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Treasure Chest Theatre embraced puppetry and mindfulness, performing at Hong Kong's largest music festival, Clockenflap, and touring to New York, the UK, and Japan. Today, Treasure Chest Theatre visits schools to teach and perform original productions.

About Hong Kong New Music Ensemble
Founded in 2008 by William Lane, the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble (HKNME) is one of Asia's leading new music groups, dedicated to presenting contemporary music to the highest possible standard. Renowned for its exciting performances, the HKNME’s productions extend beyond the concert stage to educational outreach events, interdisciplinary collaborations and research projects with a global network of artistic associates.
The Ensemble has led numerous world and regional premieres of important contemporary works — a number of which commissioned by the HKNME — at prestigious music festivals and venues around the world, including the Hong Kong Arts Festival, New Vision Arts Festival (HK), Tongyeong International Music Festival / ISCM (South Korea), ECHOFLUXX Festival of New Media (Czech Republic), CYCLE Music and Art Festival (Iceland), Shanghai New Music Week (CN), Beijing Music Festival (CN), Hong Kong Week (TW), MONA FOMA (Australia), Hong Kong Music Series (London), Angel Orensanz Center (New York City) and Wilsey Center for Opera (San Francisco).
The Ensemble has collaborated with renowned organisations such as Zuni Icosahedron, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Guangdong Modern Dance Company, soundpocket, Studio Acht and Alice Theatre Laboratory. The HKNME has also been invited to organise events in partnership with the Hong Kong Arts Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Spring Workshop, Asia Society Hong Kong Center, Osage Gallery and the Goethe-Institut Hongkong. The HKNME is also a regular collaborator with music departments of many tertiary institutions in Hong Kong, including the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Ensemble-in-Residence, 2023-24) and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (Resident Company, 2015-16).
The HKNME has been annually funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council since 2012.

Austin Leung
Leung is the first composer from Hong Kong to win the Royal Philharmonic Society Composition Prize since its inception in 1948. His award-winning achievement was selected as one of the "Top Ten Music News Items of 2017" by RTHK Radio 4.
Leung’s compositions have been performed by prestigious ensembles worldwide, including the Philharmonia Orchestra (UK), Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra (Canada), Avanti! Chamber Orchestra (Finland), Ostrava New Orchestra (Czech Republic), Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, and musicians from the Hong Kong Philharmonic, New York Philharmonic, and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra (USA).
Leung holds a degree from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong and an Advanced Diploma from the Department of Composition and Electronic Music at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He completed his Master of Music at the Royal Academy of Music in London, sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund. Recently, he completed his PhD at the University of Hong Kong, where his research focused on the influence of string resonance on musical texture.
Leung is the founder of Our Music Wonderland, an organization that specifies in early childhood music education. He is a recipient of the Secretary for Home Affairs' Commendation, recognized for his outstanding achievements in international arts and cultural activities.
梁騫仁博士為香港首位榮獲英國皇家愛樂學會作曲獎之得獎者(自1948年起)。其得獎消息獲香港電台第四台選為2017年度十大音樂新聞之一。梁博士獲民政事務局局長嘉許,以表揚其在國際藝術及文化活動中所取得之卓越成就。梁博士同時為「我們的音樂天地」之創辦人,該公司專注為不同年齡層之兒童研發音樂教育課程。
Chor Kai Hei
Chor Kai Hei is one of the most active Hong Kong cellists. Graduated from the Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, he is a laureate of different prizes including Schoenfeld International String Competition; and has worked with renowned musicians and orchestras including London Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Sir Simon Rattle, Bernard Haitink etc.
He has been a member of Hong Kong New Music Ensemble since 2019; and remains active not only in classical music, but also theatre production, multi-disciplinary production, film and pop music recording etc. Kai Hei is regularly invited to curate performance and cultural events, including several diplomatic performances in the Middle East and Europe for the Chief Executive Office.
Equally devoted to education, Kai Hei teaches in universities and schools. He is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy UK (FHEA); and recently re-appointed as the youngest member on the board of LCSD Music Office Expert Advisors for the Hong Kong Government.
Beside music, Kai Hei is a food and history enthusiast; and a huge fan of Liverpool football club.
畢業於皇家音樂學院、市政廳音樂及戲劇學院和香港中文大學,左啟希是香港最為活躍的大提琴家之一。
他曾榮獲多項殊榮,包括勛菲爾德國際弦樂比賽獎項;並與眾多知名音樂家及樂團合作,如倫敦交響樂團、香港小交響樂團、西蒙·拉特爾爵士、伯納德·海廷克等。
啟希自2019年起加入香港創樂團。古典音樂以外,他也活躍於舞台劇音樂、電影及流行音樂錄音等領域。
他經常獲邀策劃演出及文化活動,包括多次為行政長官辦公室於中東及歐洲策劃外交演出。
他同樣致力於教育,在高等學院和著名中小學任教。他是英國高等教育學會院士(FHEA),並最近再度獲委任為香港政府康樂及文化事務署音樂事務處專業顧問團成員,為最年輕的成員。
除音樂外,啟希酷愛美食與歷史,亦是利物浦足球俱樂部的忠實球迷。
Ben Pelletier
Ben Pelletier is a trombonist with a career spanning classical and commercial music. Raised in Alaska, he received the Most Outstanding Musician Award at the McDonald’s All-American Band and joined the Yamaha Young Performing Artist programme. He earned a Bachelor of Music with Distinction and Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music and a Master’s from Rice University. His performances have taken him to major venues and festivals across the US, Europe, and Asia, including Carnegie Hall and the Hong Kong Arts Festival. Based in Hong Kong, Pelletier is the trombonist of the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble and the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong. Beyond classical work, he has toured and recorded with artists including the Temptations, Jacky Cheung, and Jessie J. An active educator, he teaches at local universities and hosts RTHK’s arts and culture programme The Works.
彭禮傑在阿拉斯加的原野成長。他曾在麥當勞的全美銀樂隊競賽中取得了最佳樂手獎,並加入了山枼青年演奏家計劃,之後於紐約州的羅徹斯特入讀伊士曼音樂學院學曾長號。他在該校以優異成績同時考獲音樂學士(優異)和演奏文憑。彭禮傑現居香港,同時活躍於古典音樂界與流行音樂界,除了於2003年加入香港城市室樂團並參與演出至今,他更經常與香港管弦樂團等香港及東南亞的一流管弦樂團和樂隊合作,亦曾為不少倫敦西區和百老匯式製作擔任樂隊領班和長號手。他不單是Pete Moore Band的一名樂手,更負責管理該樂隊;曾與亞洲多位著名表演者例如張學友、譚詠麟、方大同、劉德華、陳奕迅、杜麗莎、張國榮、容祖兒等合作,灌錄唱片或作現場表演。
Karina Yau Mei Ying
Karina Yau Mei Ying is a dynamic percussionist and musician dedicated to exploring the vibrant and colorful world of percussion. She has been a percussionist with the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble since 2016, performing extensively across the globe.
Karina’s passion for percussion led her to the United States, where she completed her Master of Music in Percussion Performance at New York University on scholarship. During her time at NYU, she studied under renowned professors Jonathan Hass, Simon Boyar, and Eriko Daimo, and was an active member of various groups, including the Marimba, African, Steel Drum, and Contemporary Music Ensembles.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Percussion Performance and Pedagogy from Hong Kong Baptist University, where she studied with Dr. Lung Heung Wing and James Boznos. A founding member of the HKBU Percussion Ensemble, she also earned a Licentiate Performance Diploma (LTCL) with distinction from Trinity College London.
Karina is particularly passionate about chamber music. In 2016, her duo "Gemini Percussion" won third prize at the International Hong Kong Percussion Convention. She currently serves as the Chairperson of Rhythmaker, a percussion group selected for Premiere Performances’ Chamber Music in Schools Programme since 2022, performing over 20 school tours annually. She is also the Chairperson of Music Pi, a group dedicated to promoting local composers through Cantonese music storytelling.
Beyond her performance career, Karina is the Director of Initial-P Percussion Studio, where she teaches and curates major percussion events in Hong Kong. As an educator, she is committed to sharing her expertise and inspiring her students to explore the boundless possibilities of music.
尤美盈是一位致力於探索敲擊樂世界的演奏家。自 2016 年起,她擔任香港創樂團的敲擊樂手,並隨團於世界各地進行演出。
尤氏分別於香港及紐約接受音樂教育。她考獲獎學金遠赴美國紐約大學深造,並取得敲擊樂演奏碩士學位,師從著名教授 Jonathan Hass、Simon Boyar 及 Eriko Daimo。留美期間,她積極參與不同類型的室內樂團體,包括馬林巴樂團、敲擊樂團、非洲音樂樂團、鋼鼓樂團及當代音樂樂團。她本科畢業於香港浸會大學,主修敲擊樂表演及教學法,師從龍向榮博士及龐樂思先生。她是浸大敲擊樂團的創始成員,並以優異成績取得倫敦聖三一音樂學院演奏文憑 (LTCL)。
尤氏對室內樂演奏情有獨鍾。2016 年,她的二重奏組合「雙子座打擊樂團」於香港國際打擊樂大賽中榮獲季軍。她目前擔任本地敲擊樂團 Rhythmaker 的主席,該團於 2022 年入選「飛躍演奏香港」之校園室內樂計劃,每年於全港學校巡演逾二十場。此外,她亦擔任 Music Pi 主席,透過結合廣東話故事與音樂的創新形式推廣本地作曲家作品。
在舞台以外,尤氏現任 Initial-P 敲擊樂藝術中心總監。除了投身教學,她亦帶領團隊策劃各類型敲擊樂活動。作為一名教育工作者,她致力與學生分享專業知識,激勵他們探索敲擊樂與音樂的廣闊世界。
Marco LEUNG Chun Yin
Hong Kong-born flautist Leung Chun Yin Marco is an active performer of his generation. He has collaborated regularly with the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble as guest player in recent years. As a versatile performer, he has also curated different highly acclaimed chamber performances for various local festivals as well as performed as concerto soloist with different orchestras. Marco is currently the Music Director of Chung Chi Wind Orchestra, CUHK as well as being a dedicated music educator as conductor and chamber coach in various institutions.
梁俊彥(Marco)為土生土長的香港長笛演奏家,活躍於當代音樂舞台。近年來,他經常以客席演奏家身份與香港創樂團合作,展現精湛的演奏技巧與多元的音樂風格。作為一位多才多藝的音樂家,梁氏亦曾為本地多個音樂節策劃並演出多場廣受好評的室樂節目,並以協奏曲獨奏家的身份與不同樂團同台演出,深受觀眾讚賞。現時,他擔任香港中文大學崇基管樂團音樂總監,並致力於音樂教育工作,於多間院校擔任指揮及室樂導師,培育新一代音樂人才。
William Lane
William Lane is an Australian musician, curator, and arts administrator with a focus on Asia. In 2008, he established the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, where he continues to serve as CEO and violist. His career spans curating major festivals and arts projects across the region, as well as performing, teaching, and advising on arts initiatives. Prior to settling in Hong Kong, he performed with Ensemble Modern and Ensemble Resonanz in Germany, as well as professional orchestras in Australia, and spent two years as a full-time member of the Hong Kong Philharmonic.
Trained at the University of Tasmania (Australia), Accademia Stauffer (Italy), and the Internationale Ensemble Modern Akademie (Germany), William is currently furthering his education with an MBA from Adelaide University (Australia). His diverse roles reflect his deep commitment to both the artistic and administrative sides of the music world.
凌藝廉是一位專注於亞洲的澳洲音樂家、策展人及藝術行政人員。他於2008年創立香港創樂團,並自此擔任行政總裁及中提琴手至今。其職業生涯涵蓋區內多個大型藝術節及跨界藝術項目的策劃,同時積極投身演奏、教學及藝術發展顧問工作。定居香港之前,他曾於德國與現代樂團(Ensemble Modern)及共鳴樂團(Ensemble Resonanz)合作演出,並參與澳洲多個職業樂團,亦曾以全職成員身份加入香港管弦樂團兩年。
William 曾先後接受澳洲塔斯曼尼亞大學、意大利斯陶弗學院及德國國際現代合奏學院的專業訓練,目前正於澳洲阿德萊德大學修讀工商管理碩士課程,持續進修。他多元化的工作角色,充分展現了對音樂藝術創作與行政管理的深厚承擔與熱忱。
