About this Event
Life is always moving through transitions.
Some are gentle and familiar. Others ask us to let go of what we know and step into the unknown.
There is a space between what was and what is becoming—a threshold where the ground may feel uncertain, where something is ending, something is beginning, and we are simply learning to move with it.
The Transition is an invitation to explore this space through movement.
Through the rhythm, music and movement, we will move through changing landscapes within ourselves—following the shifts, meeting resistance, releasing what no longer needs to be held, and allowing the next movement to emerge.
There is no right way to transition.
No need to know where you are going.
Just an invitation to listen, move, and trust what is unfolding.
Ride the Rhythm is a conscious movement journey where music becomes a pathway into the body, inviting you to move beyond the familiar and discover your own expression through rhythm and movement.
No movement or dance experience is required; all bodies and all levels of experience are welcome!
Come as you are.
Move as you are.
And let the rhythm carry you through The Transition.
Meet Hassti Hamidi
Hassti Hamidi is a conscious dancer, DJ, and space holder devoted to the transformative power of music and movement. As the founder of Ride the Rhythm, a conscious movement practice in Vancouver, she curates dance journeys that invite people to reconnect with their bodies, emotions, and authentic expression. Her musical style blends global sounds, ambient textures, and melodic electronic rhythms to create an unfolding arc on the dance floor. Through these experiences, Hassti invites participants to move beyond thinking and into feeling, where movement becomes meditation and community becomes a space for connection and shared presence.

What is Conscious Movement Practice/ Ecstatic Dance?
Conscious Movement Practice is a unique style of dance that is all about free expression and letting your body move to the beat of your own drum. Unlike traditional dance classes, there’s no choreography to follow or steps to learn. Instead, it’s all about letting go and allowing the music to guide you, enabling authentic movement exploration. Conscious Movement Practice has been demonstrated to help with stress and anxiety reduction, promoting alignment of mind, body, soul, and spirit. During a Conscious Movement Practice session, you’ll find yourself surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for movement and self-exploration. Everyone, regardless of their dance experience, is welcome to participate and enjoy the fun.
