A welcoming weekly creative space to gather, explore ideas, experiment with colour and materials, and simply enjoy making art in good company.This isn't a formal art class, and there's no expectation to be "good at art". It's a relaxed, informal space where you can follow the week's creative invitation, work on your own ideas, or simply see what happens when you start playing.
I’ll be creating too, and if you'd like to follow along, I'll gently guide you. Equally, you can take the idea somewhere completely different.
There are no rules about what you make, no pressure to keep up and no requirement to produce a particular outcome.
You might come to:
• explore a new idea
• experiment with colour and different materials
• reconnect with your creativity
• work on something of your own
• enjoy doing something completely different
• or simply have fun creating alongside other people
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each week will have a different creative invitation to get you started. It might be a subject, an idea, a colour, a technique or simply something to spark your imagination.
Follow it, interpret it your own way, or ignore it completely!
Art is alive — and sometimes the most interesting things happen when we don't know exactly where we're going.
MATERIALS & REFRESHMENTS
A selection of art materials and paper will be provided, including pencils, felt-tips, watercolours, pastels and other materials depending on the week's creative invitation.
Tea, coffee and water will be available, along with light refreshments such as fruit and biscuits – perhaps even cake . Help yourself whenever you fancy — there isn't a designated break.
WAYS TO JOIN
Ad-hoc session — £27
Come along whenever a particular week takes your fancy.
Art Club — £22 per month
One Thursday Art Space session each month.
Art Club — £40 per month
Two Thursday Art Space sessions each month.
Art Club members have a regular place reserved for their chosen number of sessions each month.
Thursday Art Space | 10am–12 noon

WILD THINGS
Let's let our imaginations run a little wild!
Think animals, plants, strange creatures, wild landscapes, psychedelic colours…
or something that exists only in your imagination.
This week's creative invitation is Wild Things.
It doesn't need to be realistic. In fact, it might be much more interesting if it isn't!
Bring an idea, bring a picture for inspiration if you wish, or simply start making and see what appears.
