What is Sown Together?
The inspiration and focus for the workshop has come from a creative collaboration between Louise E. Taylor and multidisciplinary artist Titi Sodimu. Commissioned by Kew Gardens and Southern Railways for the Grow Wild on the Railway project, Titi created a community quilt celebrating British flora, while Louise wrote the accompanying poem.
The poem and quilt have been published by Kew Gardens online and in print, and the art installation will be displayed at Hove Station later this year.
You can read the poem and see the quilt below and listen to Louise performing Sown Together on Instagram @louiseellentaylor.
'Lyrical', 'beautiful', 'inspiring' are some of the comments from audience members for Sown Together.
