About this Event
Build a More Valuable Business is the fifth session in The Smarter Business Programme, a practical workshop series designed to help rural SMEs improve performance through better use of process, data, digital tools and AI readiness.
As businesses grow, informal ways of working can start to hold them back. Knowledge may sit with the owner, key processes may be hard to repeat, and evidence for customers, partners or funders may not be easy to produce.
This session will help you bring together what you have learned across the programme and turn it into a practical plan for building a more scalable, resilient and fundable business.
During the session, you will look at what makes a business more valuable, identify where owner dependency or inconsistent processes create risk, and consider the operational evidence needed to support growth, customer confidence and funding conversations.
The workshop will also help you prioritise digital, data and AI-related improvements using benefit, cost, capacity and risk, so that any next steps are realistic for the time and resources available.
By the end of the session, you will have a 90-day performance roadmap, an outline business case, a benefits register, a risk view and an evidence plan to take forward.
The session will be facilitated by Cynthia Moore, an expert coach and facilitator with over 20 years’ experience in operations and automation. Cynthia works with business owners to help them identify practical ways to improve performance, reduce operational risk and make better use of the information, tools and resources they already have.
