The Slow Jamz is a three-part creative workshop series created for Black women and Women of Colour — bringing together music, memory, creativity, and connection in an intimate, elevated setting.
Inspired by the feeling of a slow jam — nostalgic, sensual, familiar, and deeply personal — each experience invites you to step away from the noise and into something slower.
No pressure to perform.
No need to know anyone beforehand.
No expectation to be anything other than yourself.
Just good music, beautiful details, creative experiences, and the opportunity to connect with yourself and others.
THE THREE EXPERIENCES
SLOW JAMZ & SCENTS
Explore the connection between fragrance and memory through a hands-on perfume-making experience. Create a scent that feels uniquely yours while surrounded by slow jams, conversation, and an atmosphere designed to awaken your senses.
SLOW JAMZ & BUTTERZ
Get creative with a hands-on body butter experience designed to make self-care feel indulgent. Blend, create, and connect while enjoying music, conversation, and intentional relaxation.
SLOW JAMZ & FLAMES
Set the mood with a candle-making experience inspired by the warmth and nostalgia of your favourite slow jams. Create something beautiful to take home while enjoying good energy, good conversation, and an intimate night of creativity.
BRING YOUR VINYL
Your record could be part of the soundtrack.
We’re inviting guests to bring a vinyl record that means something to them — a song you grew up hearing, one that reminds you of someone, your favourite late-night slow jam, or simply a record you love.
Throughout the series, guests will have the opportunity to add their records to the rotation and help shape the soundtrack of the room.
Because music has a way of telling our stories without us having to say a word.
Bring the record. Share the memory. Let it spin.
Vinyl is completely optional — come with one, come with none, just come ready to listen.

The Slow Jamz isn’t about rushing through another event or filling your calendar.
It’s about creating space to feel, create, laugh, connect, and simply enjoy being present.

You’ll walk in carrying whatever the week has given you — and hopefully walk out feeling a little lighter.
More relaxed. More inspired. More connected.
You’ll have moments that make you laugh unexpectedly, conversations that feel easy, and the kind of creative energy that reminds you that you don’t always have to be productive to be doing something meaningful.
You may come alone and leave knowing a few new names.
You may arrive feeling a little guarded and find yourself opening up.
You may simply spend a few hours enjoying good music, making something beautiful, and being surrounded by women who get it.
Whatever you take from the experience, our hope is that you leave feeling seen, refreshed, creatively recharged, and a little more connected — to yourself and to the people around you.
