About this Event
This October’s Black History Month theme is:
‘Honouring Our Communities’ - honouring the resilience and cultural strength of Black communities.
The Black Joy Experience is built on that same ideal,
offering a unique, curated experience encouraging us to intentionally press PAUSE, celebrate how far we’ve come and tap back into the things which bring us joy.
WHAT IS BLACK JOY?
Black Joy is a way of restoring the mind, body, and spirit in the face of the often traumatic realities many Black and mixed heritage people experience.
It is not a monolith, it presents itself in many forms and expressions.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
For Black History Month, The Black Joy Experience is a celebration of Black culture in all its form African, Caribbean, and mixed-heritage. This space is created for us to gather, laugh, and share joy unapologetically.
