Think of a myth, folktale, ghost story, legend, superstition that you have encountered through your family, ancestry, culture or community. What if we brought this story to the present?
What might these stories reveal about the world we live in today? Join this workshop by Fabianna Flores Sanchez to share the stories we carry, and see how they might change when we place them into the contemporary world. Through writing, drawing and imagination, we will rework these stories to see if any new meanings or possibilities emerge.This workshop is inspired by the short film ‘The Shapeshifting of El Silbón’ which arose from recalling a Venezuelan legend the artist had heard as a child, wondering how this story might speak to the present.
