Behind greyhound racing lies a story most people never see — one of suffering, secrecy, and systemic neglect. The Secret Lives of Greyhounds is an investigative documentary exploring the lives of greyhounds bred and raced, exposing a pipeline of exploitation at the heart of an industry now facing worldwide condemnation.
Featuring exclusive undercover footage and expert testimony, the film challenges the legitimacy of greyhound racing and asks whether its future can be justified at all.
This free screening at National Speedway Stadium is hosted by Animal Aid Hannah Spencer MP, and offers the opportunity to see the documentary and participate in a Q&A session with Hannah.
Belle Vue Speedway used to share the greyhound track, but now has its own purpose-built venue right next to where the stadium used to be. The speedway is now at the heart of a thriving community that has benefitted from the closure and redevelopment of the greyhound stadium.
The Secret Lives of Greyhounds contains footage of dogs in pain and distress. Viewer discretion is advised.
