About this Event
Transform a room. Discover what you can create together inside it.
The Room’s Dream brings movement improvisation, ensemble composition, and immersive design into one hands-on workshop.
Through guided Viewpoints exercises, you’ll explore how timing, distance, movement, and attention shape what a group creates together. Then you’ll collectively arrange a constellation of suspended lights, transforming the studio into an immersive environment. Working within it, you’ll discover how bodies and space can become partners in composition.
Practice generating movement material, responding to others in real time, and making spatial choices that change an experience. Explore tools you can bring into performance, directing, choreography, immersive design, or your own creative practice.
Actors, dancers, directors, designers, and curious newcomers are welcome. No formal dance or Viewpoints training is required. Bring a willingness to move, experiment, and contribute to a shared creative process.
Photography
Photography will take place during the workshop, including group images. Because participants move together throughout the space, we cannot guarantee keeping anyone outside the camera frame.
We’ll ask for your agreement to being photographed. Permission to publish images in which you’re recognizable is separate and optional. No recognizable image of you will be published or used in publicity without your explicit permission.
