About this Event
Our 2026 retreat will take place on Halloween weekend (31 October to 1 November 2026) at the beautiful Stanton Manor in Stanton St Quintin, Wiltshire, an elegant countryside hotel filled with character and charm.
Arrival will be from 10am and departure will be by 2pm the following day.
This intimate experience has been designed as a luxury indulgence for romantasy readers - a weekend to slow down, reconnect with your love of stories, and share the magic of reading with others who understand it. As well as ample time to read and discuss books with your new friends, your ticket will include:

Though the hotel restaurant and bar will remain open for non residents - The Book Lover Club has booked all of the hotel bedrooms, meaning that we will have exclusive use of the hotel function room for our meals and workshops and our own reading room as well as your own private bedroom. We can’t wait to welcome you for a weekend filled with books, magic and a touch of Halloween wonder.
