You do not have to be a political expert to care about what is happening where you live. The People’s Table is a free, approachable civic social experience created to bring Charlotte-Mecklenburg residents closer to the people seeking to represent them.
Local candidates running for office, along with current officeholders, are being invited to join us at Pinhouse. Guests will have an opportunity to meet those who attend, ask questions, learn more about the offices they hold or are seeking and better understand how local decisions connect to everyday life.
Attendees will also be able to access helpful voter information, including resources to:
- Check their voter registration status
- Learn about early-voting options
- Find voting locations and other election information
- Better understand the basic voting process
- Ask questions about information they may not have known before
This is not a campaign rally or a formal political debate. It is an open, nonpartisan space to connect, ask questions and become more informed before voting.
Candidate and officeholder attendance will be shared as confirmations are received.
Following the civic portion of the evening, guests can stay at Pinhouse for football on the screens and continued conversation. Cocktails, mocktails and beverage specials will be available for purchase.
Admission is free with RSVP. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Meet the people. Ask real questions. Make your own decision.
