About this Event
Got a massive stash of paper scraps in your closet you’re saving for the perfect project? Stop hoarding it and start tearing it.
Welcome to The Paper Riot, a high-energy, zero-judgment paper crafting social designed to turn creative chaos into stunning chronicles. We are turning traditional, quiet crafting completely on its head. No straight lines. No clean edges. No perfectionism allowed.
Our mission? To build overstuffed, hyper-textured junk journals and collage spreads packed so full of vintage texts, fabrics, ribbons, and ink that they burst with personality.
Here is how the night rolls out:
• The Stash Pour: Bring a handful of your own random scrap papers, old book pages, or ribbons to dump into our communal Chaos Bin, then raid everyone else's. Don't have any and just getting started? Cool! We've got you!
• The Paper Buffet: Walk our fully stocked studio bar loaded with vintage book pages, stationery, tags, textures, and fabrics to build your layers.
• The Layout Sprints: We crush creative block and overthinking with fast-paced, timed crafting rounds fueled by great music and zero stress.
We provide your first raw book base, a glue stick, and full access to our studio distress inks, wax-sealing melts, and cutting & stamping tools!
Cost: $30 (Includes seat, starter journal base, and unlimited entry to the Paper Buffet).
Spaces are strictly limited to ensure everyone has plenty of open table space to spread out and make a massive, beautiful mess.
