The Painter’s Voice is a three day immersive workshop for artists who have some experience but feel uncertain about their direction. If you're ready to stop ‘copying’ and start creating from a place of personal truth, this workshop is designed for you.Over the course of three enriching days, you'll be guided to:
- Clarify what matters most to you and how that can inform your work
- Explore personal themes, values, and imagery that reflect your ‘voice’
- Break away from unconscious imitation and develop confidence in your own creative language
- Experiment with techniques that support your unique expression – not someone else’s
- Build a foundation for a painting practice that feels truly your own
Expect a combination of thought-provoking prompts, creative exploration, and practical painting time, all within a supportive and inspiring studio environment.
This is not about learning my style. It’s about helping you uncover and deepen your own.
This workshop is ideal for you if:
- You have some painting experience but lack clarity or consistency in your work
- You often find yourself influenced by other artists and want to move away from that
- You feel ready to explore what you want to say through your art, but aren’t sure how
- You want to develop a more personal, expressive, and meaningful painting practice

SJB Fine Art is a spacious and well equipped studio in the heart of the stunning Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. All materials and equipment are provided. A complimentary light lunch and refreshments are available throughout each day. All you need is a willingness to learn and have fun!
Located just a mile from Newgale Beach, close to the popular village of Solva and Britain's smallest City of St. Davids with its historic buildings and stunning scenery. There is plenty of local accommodation to suit every taste and budget.
