“The Owen Hart Foundation (OHF) is celebrating its 27th anniversary and true to our tradition of presenting outstanding artists to the Calgary area we are exceptionally ecstatic to be hosting iconic Elvis Costello for the second time! Elvis Costello's catalog contains numerous enduring hits that showcase both his melodic gift and lyrical bite. Early breakthrough songs like "Alison" and "Watching the Detectives" mixed tender intimacy and noirish tension; punchier singles such as "Pump It Up" and "Radio, Radio" channeled new wave urgency; chart favorites like "Oliver's Army" and "Everyday I Write the Book" paired irresistibly catchy hooks with sharp social observation; while later tracks such as "Shipbuilding" revealed his ability to deliver haunting, elegiac balladry.” stated Dr. Martha Hart, Founder and Director of the Owen Hart Foundation. For the 27th anniversary show, The Owen Hart Foundation is hosting a special celebrity online auction featuring $80,000 in prizes. Designed to raise additional funds and engage Calgarians in support of this local charity, the auction offers a variety of exclusive packages — including VIP meet-and-greet experiences for the Elvis Costello show.
