About this Event

Ever wondered what makes seafood a sustainable choice?

Join the Choices Nutrition Team for a special hybrid seminar featuring guest speaker Mhairi Chandler from Ocean Wise, along with a live cooking demonstration showcasing an authentic Japanese teriyaki salmon recipe.

In this engaging session, you'll learn how sustainable seafood choices help protect the long-term health of our oceans and why responsible sourcing matters. Mhairi will share insights into the Ocean Wise program, how seafood recommendations are made, and the positive environmental and community impacts that sustainable seafood practices can have.

At Choices Market, we're proud that 100% of the fresh fish and seafood available in our seafood departments is Ocean Wise recommended, making it easier for customers to shop with confidence while supporting healthier oceans for future generations.

To bring these concepts to life, the Choices Nutrition Team will prepare a simple, authentic Japanese teriyaki salmon recipe, demonstrating how sustainable seafood can be transformed into a delicious and nourishing meal that's easy to recreate at home.

Whether you join us in person or online, you'll leave with a deeper understanding of sustainable seafood, practical nutrition insights, and inspiration for your next seafood meal.
