About this Event

Northern Utah Trailfest (The NUT) is a fall festival for all types of trail users! Everyone is invited to our FREE COMMUNITY TRAILFEST-IVAL. October 2nd-4th, 2026

Enjoy the trails while fall colors are on full display in the picturesque North Fork Park! Connect with fellow trail users and outdoor enthusiasts as you unwind and relax in the cool mountain air while listening to live music. Participate in free activities, dine at delicious food trucks, shop from vendors, and learn from local naturalists and nonprofit organizations.

Yoga - Friday

Info: Join Ariel on Friday evening for yoga. Designed specifically for runners, mountain bikers, and outdoor adventurers of all kinds. Expect a fun, approachable flow focused on mobility and recovery leaving your body feeling refreshed and ready for whatever the weekend has in store. Whether you're warming up, recovering from your race, or just looking to move, everyone is welcome. Meet at the Activity Hub flag in front of the GOAL/TFNU booths to check in 15 min prior. Yoga will be a short walk and will start at 6pm

Stargazing - Friday Night
Host: Ogden Nature Center

Info: Join ONC for connecting with the cosmos and stargazing for one or both of two 45 minute presentations talking about the constellations and getting a chance to check them out through a telescope. Meet at the ACTIVITY HUB Flag in front of the GOAL/TFNU booths to check in.

Fireside Poetry - Friday Night
Host: Sunni Wilkinson

Info: Family friendly poetry around the firepits on Friday hosted by Ogden's Poet Laureate, Sunni. Opportunities available to share poetry. Meet at the ACTIVITY Hub Flag in front of the GOAL/TFNU booths. If you miss check in, feel free to join in around the firepit near the GOAL/TFNU booths.

WSU Wilderness First Aid MTB Ride
Host: Weber State University

Info: Join Weber State for a wilderness first-aid MTB ride on Saturday. How would you respond?? Have you ever gotten injured on the trails or come across someone who is feeling ill on the trail? Do you hesitate to recreate in the backcountry because you have no wilderness first aid training? In this session, we will dive into the basics of first aid and risk management in the outdoors. Participants will get to practice hands-on with staged first-aid scenarios throughout a short ride! No experience is necessary, all are welcome, must provide own bike, helmets required. This is not a certification course. Meet at the ACTIVITY HUB Flag in front of the GOAL/TFNU booths to check in 15 min prior.

Tai Chi
Host: Ronen Divon

Info: Join Ronen Divon, our experienced Tai Chi and Qigong instructor on Saturday for a class that emphasizes relaxation, mindful breathing, grounding, energy cultivation, and Taoist philosophy, while also exploring the martial applications underlying the Tai Chi movements. Meet at the ACTIVITY HUB flag in front of the GOAL/TFNU booths to check in 15 min prior. Class will be a short walk, we will leave at 3pm.

Dino Park Fossil Hike
Host: George S Eccles Dinosaur Park

Info: Join the Dinosaur Park on a fossil hike on Saturday learning how to identify and collect fossils in our own backyard! They'll teach you how to spot, identify, and collect fossils. With any luck, we'll all get to go home with our own fossil we collect on the trails! Meet at the ACTIVITY HUB Flag in front of the GOAL/TFNU booths to check in 15 min prior.

Forest Bathing
Host: Chris Newton

Info: Join us for a guided forest bathing experience on Saturday. A slow walk in the woods that invites you to relax, notice your surroundings, and enjoy nature in a new way. It’s less about hiking and more about slowing down, breathing deep, and letting the forest recharge you. Forest Bathing originated in Japan where it is called Shinrin-Yoku. This practice has been scientifically proven to boost immunity and mental strength as well as offering us the opportunity to deepen our relationship with the natural world. Community Run/Hike - Sunday

Info: Bring your running/hiking shoes and join us for this free community Sunday morning movement at North Fork park. We'll do roughly 5.6 miles of unique North Fork Park Trails. Expect great views and moderate climbing (~1,100 ft) on this Fall run/hike. 7:00am meetup at Daily Rise Coffee. Bring some cash over to the coffee truck to have a pre-run/hike coffee or breakfast prior to our 7:30 community run/hike.
