About this Event
I have a lot of wonderful single female friends in Russia.
They are smart, independent, interesting, have careers, hobbies, travel, and full lives. And honestly, sometimes I have no idea how they are still single.
One of the reasons is quite simple: the dating pool in Russia is heavily skewed towards women. Go to a café, museum, or social event, and you can easily notice that there are far more women than men.
At the same time, many Russian women are open to international relationships and potentially moving to Europe — they just don't have many natural opportunities to meet European men who are looking for the same thing.
So I decided to experiment.
The format: The No Small Talk Dating Night
Most dates start in roughly the same way.
Where are you from? What do you do? How long have you lived here?
And there is nothing wrong with these questions. But sometimes, after an hour of conversation, you still feel like you don't really know the person sitting in front of you.
So we want to try something different.
Instead of pairing people up and asking them to repeat the same conversation again and again, we'll put you into small groups and give you something more interesting to talk about.
Some questions will be funny. Some might be a little unexpected. Some might make you think.
You might talk about a decision that changed your life, something you're irrationally passionate about, a belief you've changed your mind about, or what your friends would probably tease you for.
And then the groups change.
You'll meet new people, hear different stories and perhaps find yourself having a conversation you wouldn't normally have with a stranger.
There are no right answers and no pressure to impress anyone.
The point is simply to skip the part where everyone tries to make themselves sound interesting and give people something real to respond to instead.
A little more than dating
Of course, we hope there might be some chemistry.
But even if there isn't, you might still spend an evening talking to people you would probably never have met otherwise.
And sometimes, a good conversation is where everything starts.
No swiping. No interviews. Just a room full of people and better questions.
Who is this for?
We're looking for:
European men, 25–40, who are genuinely open to meeting Russian women and potentially building a serious long-term relationship.
The event is entirely in English.
The women participating are ordinary, independent women with their own careers, interests and lives. They are not looking for sponsors or someone to financially support them. Many have travelled internationally and are comfortable communicating in English.
This is not an event for people looking for a quick hookup or a secret affair.
We're interested in people who are curious about each other and open to the possibility of something meaningful — whether that eventually becomes a relationship, a date, a friendship, or simply a great conversation.
Of course, we can't guarantee a match. That's dating. Sometimes there is chemistry, sometimes there isn't.
This is the first one
We're testing whether this format actually works — and whether putting interesting people in a room and giving them permission to skip the small talk can lead to something better than another evening of swiping.
One room. Different conversations. New people every round. No small talk — just good questions, real stories and the possibility of a little chemistry.
