About Terra Plata & Chef Tamara Murphy: Founded by legendary chef Tamara Murphy, Terra Plata has centered Washington farmers and seasonally inspired cuisine since its inception. In the early 1990s, Murphy forged groundbreaking partnerships with local farmers and producers, helping put Seattle on the map as a leader in Northwest regional cuisine. In 2005, she founded the Good Farmer Fund, a program of Neighborhood Farmers Markets that has since provided emergency financial assistance to hundreds of producers. Through both her menus and her leadership within Seattle's restaurant community, Murphy set a new standard for sourcing high-quality local food from Washington farmers and food producers.
