The program features soprano Dr. Sequina DuBose alongside pianist Justin Fitch in a performance of Bonds' piano works, solo spiritual arrangements, a choral selection, and music from the newly recovered and completed musical "Bitter Laurel."
In the music of Margaret Bonds, sacred tradition and the struggle for liberation meet—inviting us to listen for what freedom asks of us today.
