🎸 THE MONSTER JAMS: MTV UNPLUGGED 🎸Before streaming, smartphones and polished concert productions, MTV Unplugged gave us something special: legendary artists stripping their music down, sitting together in an intimate room, and letting the songs speak for themselves.
From Eric Clapton, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots to The Cure, R.E.M., The Cranberries, 10,000 Maniacs, Metallica and many more, some of the most memorable performances in rock history happened on that little Unplugged stage.
Now The Monster Jams is bringing that spirit to Rookies and we are going to capture the night for our YouTube channel to share across all the social media platforms.
Our tribute will feature our favorite songs and performances from the series—recreated live, unplugged and with that intimate, organic feel that made the show legendary.
🎥 We’re even going to attempt to capture the night using the same four-camera style that helped make MTV Unplugged feel so special.
So bring your congas, shakers, tambourines—and of course, your acoustic guitars. We will use the Pro-Am Jams software to pick the songs for the show and work out any special details for each song. I want to redesign the entire lighting theme in the room to fit the vibe. Live drums and other percussion will be on stage and some of the acoustics and vocals will be on stools on the floor in front in front of the stage.
