Join us for an exciting event celebrating girls with author of The Mirror Diaries, Vanessa Coulbeck!
About this Event

Calling all girls and gender diverse youth, ages 11-16 years old!

Join The Mirror Diaries author and body image researcher Vanessa Coulbeck for an evening at MLSE Launchpad that celebrates YOU. Looking in the mirror is about seeing more than just how your hair looks today, or what outfit you’re wearing. It’s about recognizing that you are a limited edition and celebrating what makes you unique. In this session, you’ll dive into self-confidence, self-compassion and body image exercises from the Beyond the Mirror workbook, the companion workbook to the Mirror Diaries series, that will help you better understand yourself and what makes you special. You’ll also get to move, play, and try different activities with movement breaks led by Girls Forward Real Role Models. By the end of the night, you’ll leave with a fresh understanding of why being yourself matters, how being kind to yourself is part of that superpower, and how confidence and strength are feelings that can only truly come from within. Girls will receive a signed copy of the newly released The Mirror Diaries: Finding Grace book 1 along with other goodies!
