About this Event
These beginner-friendly workshops are designed to help you reconnect with creativity in a calm and supportive environment.
Through mindful drawing exercises, gentle guidance, and observational techniques, participants will explore drawing without the pressure of perfection.
Each session begins with a short mindfulness-based creative warm-up to help slow down, settle into the space, and approach drawing with less self-judgement.
Over 5 weeks, we’ll explore:
Week 1 — Letting Go of “Perfect Drawing"
Learning to draw more freely through observation, loose sketching, and simple shapes.
Week 2 — Seeing More Accurately
Slowing down and noticing proportion, relationships, and the difference between what we think we see and what’s actually there.
Week 3 — Making Drawings Feel 3D
Exploring light, shadow, and shading in a simple, accessible way.
Week 4 — Bringing It All Together
Combining shape, observation, proportion, and shading into a full drawing process.
Week 5 — Creating Your Own Final Piece
Using everything we’ve explored to create a personal final drawing - this could be a portrait, still life, or something meaningful to you.
These sessions are about:
• process over perfection
• creativity without pressure
• building confidence through art
• mindful observation and self-expression
No previous drawing experience is needed.
