About this Event

The Mending Café: A Cozy Drop-In for Clothing Repair & Creative Fixes

Slow down, grab a warm drink and join us in a welcoming space dedicated to the art of mending. The Mending Café is a relaxed drop-in session where anyone can bring their well-loved clothes and learn simple, effective ways to repair, refresh, and extend their life. This isn't a formal workshop session but we'll always be close by for guidance and to help with any of the techniques.

Whether you’re patching worn knees, darning socks, stitching up seams or adding a visible-mending flourish, friendly guidance will be available to help you choose the right technique for your garment. No experience is needed—this is a space for learning, chatting and celebrating the stories our clothes carry.

Enjoy a cozy, communal atmosphere where creativity and sustainability go hand in hand. Work at your own pace, share ideas with fellow menders and leave with clothing that feels renewed and cared for.

Bring: Any garment in need of repair.

Provided: Needles, threads, fabric scraps, yarn, patches and other basic mending tools.

Perfect for: Anyone interested in sustainable fashion, handcrafts or slowing down with a meaningful, hands-on activity.

We have a small kitchen at the shop so you can help yourself to tea and coffee while you work away. A fun and productive afternoon! Even more fun if you bring a friend.
