The Lord of History: A Study of Isaiah

In a world that seems out of control, it is comforting to know that the Sovereign God is working his plans out in history. Isaiah is the greatest of all Old Testament prophets. He is called the “Evangelical Prophet” because he tells us so much about Jesus Christ and his coming kingdom, even though he wrote 700 years before Jesus. Isaiah teaches us to find rest in the promises of God. “In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength” (Isaiah 30:15).
