LOCAL MUSIC; improvised SCENEsImprov inspired by live, local music. Local musicians perform original songs live. Between songs the Local Music Scene cast improvise scenes inspired by the lyrics.
MUSICAL GUEST:
Trick Locket
Slyly intense and disarmingly earnest, Trick Locket (Bryn Battani) loves to say the opposite of what she means. With influences ranging from Broadway to Talking Heads, she presents her “persona pop” songs with playful deception and theatrical swagger. Props and costumes heighten her stage presence while her songs oscillate between tongue-in-cheek melodrama and raw vulnerability, examining social politics, power dynamics, and other absurdities.
