THE LEGACY LIVES ON
Come hear the stories, songs and memories from inside one of country music's most legendary musical families.
Some stories can only be told by the people who grew up living them.
Join Georgette Jones and Tony “T-Bone” Montgomery, with Mac Walter on guitar, for a special songwriter round filled with music, memories and stories from the heart of Nashville's country music legacy.
Georgette Jones is the daughter of country music legends George Jones and Tammy Wynette — two of the most influential voices in country music history. Growing up surrounded by the music business gave Georgette a front-row seat to the lives, personalities and songs behind two legendary careers. Her parents' music, their lives together, and the people who helped shape their sound are woven into her own remarkable story.
Tony “T-Bone” Montgomery carries another important piece of that history. He is the nephew of legendary steel guitarist and musician Peanutt Montgomery, a longtime friend, collaborator and member of George Jones' musical circle. Peanutt was far more than a sideman — he was a gifted songwriter and an important part of the creative world surrounding George Jones and Tammy Wynette.
George Jones, Tammy Wynette and Peanutt Montgomery shared a deep musical connection, writing and creating songs together during the years when George and Tammy were building their legendary careers. Peanutt Montgomery is still with us today, making the stories T-Bone brings to the stage all the more meaningful.
With Jo Billups singing harmony and Mac Walter on guitar, Georgette and T-Bone will take you inside those stories — sharing the songs, memories and characters behind some of country music's most unforgettable history.
This isn't just a songwriter round.
It's a chance to hear the legacy from the people who inherited it.
