A sweet little old lady. Five very foolish criminals. One brilliantly bad idea. The Ladykillers is a classic British black comedy in which Mrs Wilberforce, living quietly in her lopsided house, rents rooms to Professor Marcus and his gang of supposed amateur musicians. Their instruments, however, are a cover for something far less harmonious: a carefully planned robbery.
The heist goes smoothly. Keeping Mrs Wilberforce in the dark does not.
As she begins to piece together the truth, the gang face a problem they never anticipated. With only her parrot, General Gordon, for company, Mrs Wilberforce stands alone against five increasingly desperate men.
Sharp, dark and gloriously funny, this is a tale of crime, incompetence and the quiet strength of a lady who refuses to be silenced.
