Hitomi HARAMA will start by giving a presentation and explanation about the Japanese way of tea (茶道 Chado) and its culture.
Ayako IKEDA will then perform the tea ceremony with one or two guests. The style will be “ryurei” style, which means the ceremony will be performed on regular tables. This event will allure you to experience “Wa-Kei-Sei-Jaku” (和 敬 清 寂), the four principles of the Japanese tea ceremony: Harmony, Respect, Purity, and Tranquility.
