TICK TACK opens THE ILLEGAL CLUB, a new permanent space for sound and performance in Antwerp.-1 / PRESSURE CHAMBER
The Illegal Club opens with Pressure Chamber, The Club's permanent sound installation by Berlin-based artist Nik Nowak, who has spent twenty years building sound systems as sculptures. They are machines made to be played. Nik Nowak invited 2 special guests to activate the system for the first time.

For the opening night, The Illegal Club takes over the whole building. On the ground floor and mezzanine, over 60 visual artists living and working in Belgium each show one studio work made off the record: a test, an early work, a sidetrack, something made for a friend or for no one in particular.
Not the record, but everything that happened around it.
Across Europe, independent clubs and self-organised spaces are closing. The Illegal Club moves the other way.
