Slow down and listen differently on a guided soundwalk through Norwich, exploring the sounds of the city above and beneath us.
About this Event

The sounds around us shape our lives in ways we rarely notice - our sense of time and place, our memories and emotions, our creativity, and our relationship with nature and each other.

Actively listening to the world can be a genuinely inspiring experience. Slowing down to listen, especially while walking, opens up a well of creative inspiration that's easy to overlook.

On this soundwalk, participants will use their ears and a range of specialist listening equipment to explore the acoustic habitat of Norwich city centre - sound in the air, underwater and in the ground. There'll be time to quietly reflect on what we hear, and to share the experience with fellow listeners.

Walking routes to be confirmed on the day (weather dependent), but will incorporate accessible surfaces and paths. This event is suitable for families.

This walk will be starting at St Andrew's Hall as part of the Wild by Design event . Please arrive 15 minutes before the walk begins and speak to someone at the entrance.

Standard Tickets (Members / Non-Members)

If you're able to pay and would like to support our work, we'd really appreciate a contribution towards keeping these events accessible for everyone.

Community Tickets

We want everyone to feel welcome at Wild by Design.

We have a limited number of community tickets available for anyone where cost would be a barrier to booking a ticket. No questions asked - just come and enjoy the day.

Accessibility

We want our events, and nature itself, to be accessible to everyone. If you have specific needs or requirements, please get in touch at [email protected] so we can support you wherever possible.

Access companions are welcome free of charge. If you or someone in your group requires personal support to attend - whether physical, communicative or emotional - please add an Access Companion when asked during the ticket booking process.

Important Information – please read our event refund policy below:
