Guided Writing for the things too big to ignore or too small to say out loud. Supporting you in your healing, one word at a time.
About this Event

The Healing Page Writing Workshops

Not all healing starts with a crisis. Sometimes it begins with a nagging thought, a small sadness, or a question you've been avoiding. The Healing Page uses guided writing to explore what's beneath the surface; the small frustrations, the everyday things that take up more space than we'd like.

Held with care, curiosity, and compassion, these sessions offer a supportive space to write, reflect, and reconnect with yourself—bearing witness to your own healing, one word at a time.

No experience needed—just a willingness to be honest with yourself.

Bringing over 15 years of experience leading and co-facilitating writing-led well-being sessions, Anne-Marie Cockburn has collaborated with a diverse range of groups and organisations, including the NHS Senior Leadership Team, University of Oxford (Apprentice Well-being Day), Britmums, The Bereavement Care Conference, The Youth in Mind Conference, The Free Word Festival (online), and Pr*son groups through Restore, the Pr*son programme run by The Forgiveness Project. These experiences have demonstrated how creative writing can serve as a powerful tool for reflection, emotional well-being and connection—regardless of background or circumstance.

From the moment she was able to pick up a pencil, writing became Anne-Marie’s solution to navigate through difficult moments in life. She describes it as her 'fourth emergency service' and loves the simplicity and power that putting words on a page can bring.

She is the author of the critically acclaimed book, 5,742 Days: A Mother's Journey Through Loss, which was launched on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour by Jenni Murray, selling over 10,000 copies. Her work focuses on using personal experience as a tool for healing. Spaces are limited, so advance booking is essential.

Once you have booked, you will receive an email the day before your workshop containing practical information and the workshop guidelines. Please take a few minutes to read these before attending.

Arrival and Attendance

Workshops begin promptly at 2.00pm. Please arrive by 1.50pm at the latest so that you have time to settle in, make yourself comfortable and arrive fully in the space before we begin.

At 2.00pm, the workshop will begin and late arrivals cannot be admitted. This is important in helping us maintain a calm, safe and uninterrupted environment for everyone attending.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you are unable to attend, please provide at least 24 hours' notice. This allows your place to be offered to someone on the waiting list.

As places are limited and workshops often fill quickly, refunds cannot be offered for cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, non-attendance, or arrival after the workshop has started.

Thank you for helping to create a supportive, respectful and considerate environment for everyone attending.

Waiting List

If a workshop is fully booked, you are welcome to join the waiting list by emailing [email protected]. If there is sufficient interest, I may be able to move the workshop to a larger room. Alternatively, you can book a place on one of the following week's workshops.
