The Healing Ground of Grief and Gratitude-an embodied IFS retreat in the heart of
Dartmoor National Park, Devon
Brimpts Farm, Dartmoor.
Dates: 2nd -6th November
‘The work of the mature person is to carry grief in one hand and gratitude in the other and be stretched large by them’ (Francis Weller).
This retreat is an invitation to slow down, listen in, and connect more deeply with ourselves, each other, and the living world.
Our intention is to offer a safe, creative and experiential space in which to explore and deepen our personal and collective relationship with grief and gratitude. Together we will build a sense of community that can support us all in feeling welcomed, accepted, encouraged and witnessed exactly as we are.
We will offer meditation, inquiry, creative processes, simple rituals, time in silence and in nature. We will include the map, wisdom and skills of the IFS model, as well as the teachings of Francis Weller and Joanna Macy.
These frameworks offer support to explore the ways our systems carry grief and also protect us from feeling it.
Disconnection and loss affect us all individually and collectively in our families, cultures, and societies. We need the warmth of community to soften and melt our hearts, so we can return to feeling our connection and belonging to the whole web of life.
