Dance Temple is back and offering a special outdoor silent disco dance event!“THE HARVEST” with DJ Nihilistic in Love.
On this Harvest Moon Eve lets gather and dance to honor the efforts and challenges invested into growing our places of connection to land, self and one another. The harvest moon is a time to give thanks for this year's work and abundance. To celebrate, give gratitude, dance and savor the moments available when we harvest the results.
Nihilistic in Love (N.i.L.) is a Comox Valley-based DJ and moment creator, heavily influenced by the West Coast Bass Culture and guided by practices and experiments in community and wellness. N.i.L's emotive and genre spanning DJ sets balance spontaneous track selection with keen intentions of a highly curated sonic and kinetic journey.
We will gratefully gather on the school field of Ecole Mer-et-Montagne, rain or shine. This event is a silent disco, where everyone is able to immerse themselves into the shared experience of music through wireless headphones instead of loud external speakers.
Please arrive at 6:45pm to allow time to distribute the headsets so we can start our journey of dance at 7pm.
Note there are no washroom facilities, so please plan accordingly. The school has generously offered their outdoor space for us to gather. We ask that all respectfully create a leave no trace event.
$20 CASH at the door (sorry, we are not able to accept any other forms of payment).

We recognize that touch and physical proximity can mean different things to different people. In this space we practice self-awareness of our own bodies and awareness of the ways in which we engage with the moving bodies of others. We practice respect for the personal space of others. We define consent as freely given, ongoing and an enthusiastic agreement for mutual participation. Understand that you are not obligated whatsoever to engage in any contact with anyone.

*Respect any no (including when someone is ignoring you or moves away from you)
* Respect a Solo Dancer’s right to their space
