About this Event
This first of three concerts in our Harpsichord Counterpoints series invites you into the elegance and splendor of the French Baroque, with exquisite music by Louis Couperin, J-P. Rameau, and Jacques Duphly, three of the era's most celebrated composers. Their richly expressive music belongs to the 'Golden Age' of the harpsichord, when the instrument and its music reached extraordinary neights of beauty and sophistication. It's a glorious starting point for our Counterpoints series. Internationally acclaimed harpsichordist and Grammy nominee JORY VINIKOUR performs this wonderful repetoire, revealing its poetry, sensual refinement, and exquisite beauty.
This concert is one of three in Festival Capriccio's 2026's 'Harpsichord Counterpoints' series where the harpsichord bridges centuries in an ageless dialogue. Through the artistry of acclaimed performers, music of the Baroque, the 20th century, and or our own times meets, echos, and illuminates the other in unexpected and captivating ways.
