About this Event

Why do some patients respond to treatments while others don't?

Join us for an interactive Q&A panel discussion to explore the possibilities of how the Smart Trials Hub can support your research. Please submit your questions in advance via The Future of Personalised Medicine: Exploring King's new Smart Trials Hub – Fill in form to help shape the discussion and ensure our panel addresses the topics most relevant to you.

People experience complex diseases in different ways, and this can influence how they respond to treatments. Traditional clinical trials don’t always capture this variation. The Smart Trials Hub at Guy’s Hospital aims to close this gap by providing advanced tools and expert support to better understand what’s happening inside the body and why treatment responses differ. By uncovering new biological insights, the Hub hopes to speed up the development of more targeted and effective therapies.

This event will give you an early look at how the Smart Trials Hub will work in practice and how it can be applied to your own studies. Our expert panel, from academic leads to facility specialists, will be guided by your pre‑submitted and live questions.

We encourage you to bring real challenges from your research. Whether you're thinking about study design, sample analysis, data integration or translating findings into clinical practice, all questions are welcome. Through open discussion, we’ll explore both the opportunities and the complexity of combining different analytical approaches on samples including liquid biopsies, single‑cells and spatial analysis of tissues.

You’ll leave with practical insights into how the Hub can support your work, help identify new treatment targets and turn complex biological information into meaningful clinical understanding.
