Is your business genuinely ready for funding?
Having an ambitious growth plan is not the same as being funding-ready.
Whether you are considering debt, equity, internally generated cash or a combination of funding routes, the quality of your financial evidence can determine whether a funder engages or walks away.
The Fundable Growth Lab, delivered by NatWest Accelerator in partnership with Axcelera, is a practical and interactive session designed to help established founders understand how funders assess a business and what they need to do next.
This is not a conventional presentation or pitch competition. You will work on your own business throughout the session and see the funding decision-making process brought to life.
What will happen during the session?
A pre-selected founder will present a concise, five-minute overview of their business, growth plans and funding requirement.
A panel comprising an equity investor, a debt funding specialist and experienced Axcelera CFOs will then:
- Question the founder from their different funding perspectives.
- Test the quality of the financial and commercial evidence presented.
- Identify the strongest elements of the funding case.
- Highlight the gaps that could delay or prevent funding.
- Explain what would make the business more fundable.
The founder, audience and panellists will all use the same Funding Readiness Scorecard. You will score the live case, compare the different perspectives and then apply the learning directly to your own business.
What will you leave with?
By the end of the session, you will have:
- A Funding Readiness Score for your business.
- A more clearly defined funding requirement.
- A view on whether cash generation, debt, equity or a blended route is most appropriate.
- A one-page Growth Funding Blueprint.
- Three practical actions to complete over the following 90 days.
- A better understanding of the questions funders will ask—and the evidence they will expect.
Who is the session for?
This session is designed for founders and CEOs of established, sector-agnostic businesses:
- Turning over at least £500,000.
- Planning a significant period of growth.
- Considering debt, equity or another form of business funding.
- Wanting an honest assessment of their financial and funding readiness.
The event is limited to 50 founders. Preference will be given to businesses expecting a funding event within the next 12 months, including a debt or equity raise, refinancing, acquisition funding or investment to support growth.
To get the most from the session, attendees will be asked to complete a short funding-readiness diagnostic before the event.
