THE DRESSING ROOM: AN EMBODIMENT WORKSHOP
What do you wear when you feel playful? Powerful? Wild? Sensual? Soft? We see how each one fits — taste the texture, the flavor. Pieces from the swap become our wardrobe, or we imagine our own. Put it on. Take it off. Brush it off, shake it out, exhale.
When we choose what we'd like to wear, or how we want to step into a space, it's a conscious choice. And we can find our own authentic expression of that choice, one that isn't performative. We get to enjoy what it feels like to wear this costume right now, for the time we have it, and express ourselves through it.
Until it's time to pass on the costume to someone else. Release it to where it came from. And we can always come back to what's alive within us, right now.
POTLUCK
Bring something to share, anything you'd love to eat with others. If you can, jot down the main ingredients so everyone can eat with ease.
WHERE THE DONATIONS GO
This gathering is free to attend. If you'd like to give, please donate directly to Sistering, a Toronto agency offering low-barrier practical and emotional support to women and gender-diverse people who are homeless or precariously housed. Give what you can, and come either way.
