The Desk-Based Body: How Office Life Affects Your Health – and What to Do About It
Long hours at a desk can make it difficult to fit movement into your day. But how does a desk-based routine affect your body, and where should you start if you want to make a change?
In this Lunch & Learn, Naim Kamili, owner and Strength & Conditioning Coach at NK Mind Fitness Health, will explore how office life can influence your health and fitness.
From tight hips and low energy to brain fog and bone density, Naim will break down the science in straightforward terms and share practical tools you can start using today. There’ll also be time to ask questions about your own routine.
You’ll learn how to:
- Understand how a desk-based lifestyle can affect your body
- Recognise areas of your daily routine that could benefit from more movement
- Explore the links between your working habits, energy and focus
- Understand why strength and movement matter for long-term health
- Identify manageable changes you can start making today
- Build health and fitness habits that fit around a busy working life
Whether you’re a founder, freelancer, business owner or team member, you’ll leave with a clearer understanding of your desk-based habits and practical ideas for looking after yourself throughout the working week.

Naim will stay at The Brew until 4.30 PM, offering free 30-minute Health Blueprint 1:1 sessions from 1.30 PM.
