About this Event
Rounding off 2026, The HopBarn is delighted to host a special evening of live music in support of Beaumond House Hospice.
Amber Ackerman is a singer, songwriter and pianist from Lincolnshire, creating original music influenced by jazz, soul and pop. Her music is harmonically rich, melodically soulful and emotionally direct, combining expressive vocals with powerful piano-led arrangements.
As a solo performer, Amber creates a full, dynamic sound from the piano and keyboard, using bass, drums and harmony to create the feel of a live band. Her performances are soulful, expressive and engaging, with a strong focus on making the audience feel something as well as hear it. Alongside her original music, she performs a diverse range of covers, bringing her own style and interpretation to every song.
The Terrible Parents are an acoustic folk duo with a bit of folk rock grit, hailing from Southwell. Gord Whyte: Acoustic guitarist, singer, and the one responsible for turning the chaos in his head into songs about life, love, family. Sarah Whyte: Cello, classically trained, wildly talented.
The HopYards offer a set featuring many well known and some not so well known blues and jazz numbers. Interpreted in their own unique style, The HopYards have established a strong reputation over the years with Leona Ashley on Vocals, Mike Mellor on Bass and Stuart Poole on keys.
Please come and join us for this final event of the year as all proceeds will go to Beaumond House Hospice, a registered charity committed to providing supportive palliative and end-of-life care along with emotional and spiritual support to patients, their families and their loved ones across Newark and Sherwood, Mansfield, Ashfield and Bassetlaw.
